BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE: IST’s expertise is grounded in
practical field experience as well as in theory. Thirteen years
of budget-conscious sampling, risk assessment, and remedial technology
deployment allow IST’s multidisciplinary team to bring a unique
perspective to litigation cases. We are credible because we know
the science and engineering, and we are effective because we know
how to present our knowledge.
BUDGET CONTROL: IST will control scope and budget within agreed
bounds, a rare quality in the litigation profession and a vestige
of our site contractor background. During our 12-year history, over
90 percent of IST’s projects have been successfully completed
without budget supplements.
IST’s CLIENT BASE: Historically, most of our clients have
been associated with the industrial sector, focusing on petrochemicals
and wood products. IST’s staff has also been retained by more
than 20 environmental law firms defending environmental claims and
prosecuting claims, numerous times as joint defense experts
In 2003, IST worked on eleven major litigation projects for Fortune
500 clients, including four of the largest international, integrated
petroleum energy companies. As we begin 2004, it appears that this
number will grow. Additionally, we are presently working on in excess
of 100 non-litigation projects for these and other clients.
IST’s SIZE: IST has 25 employees, most of whom are technical.
Of those, four are Senior Principals with from 20 to 30 years of
experience each. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, we also have
offices in Pennsylvania (Stewartstown and Exton), Florida (Panama City and
Alligator Point), and South Carolina (Charleston). IST’s annual
revenue is currently between $4 and 5 million and is steadily growing.
Our environmental forensics practice is growing, mostly through
repeat engagements from existing clients.
